Tim Hortons second annual Cruise In recently kicked off at the Skaha Lake Road location July 6.

The Cruise In includes a free coffee and doughnut for participants, along with prizes and live music provided by Thunder Alley Entertainment who will be playing classic hits.

Cynthia Pieters, human resources events co-ordinator, created the event because she used to own a collector car and loved the idea of putting on an event featuring vintage vehicles.

“For the first Cruise In, we had 23 cars participate and a lot of very enthusiastic drivers that were eager to see everyone’s prized possessions,” said Bre Symchuk, human resources events assistant.

“We want to encourage all car buffs to come out and join in the showcase or simply check out some amazing cars that people have in our community.”

The Cruise In events will be happening on July 20, Aug. 3, 17, 31 and Sept. 7 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Tim Hortons Skaha Lake Road location.
