Spring has sprung and residents in the Okanagan can feel the change of season in the air.

March 20, the first day of spring saw hikers, dog walkers and bike riders take in the sunshine and get outside.

Those enjoying the spring day had several explanations of how they survived this past extended winter.

From trips to Mexico, or Vancouver Island, to working out, or just staying in doors — everyone was in agreement they were ready for spring.

However, Monday’s sunshine will give way to a 40 per cent of flurries or rain overnight — and as one man said it might be a few more days before the heat sets in and the Okanagan can truly rejoice that spring is here.
