First Okanagan Arts Awards
The Arts Council of the Central Okanagan has announced the inaugural Okanagan Arts Awards to take place next year.
The awards recognize those in categories such as music, theatre, dance, creative writing, visual arts, design, media arts and arts education.
The awards are open to anyone — individuals, businesses or groups in the Okanagan to be nominated.
The eadline to nominate an outstanding member of the arts community is Jan. 5, 2008.

The awards will be presented Feb. 15, 2008 at the UBC-O campus in Kelowna.
