Friday reading by author Ruby Slipperjack cancelled due to illness
Illness has forced cancellation of a public reading today (Jan.27) by Ontario Ojibwe author Ruby Slipperjack.
Slipperjack, author of such works as Dog Tracks and Weesquachak and the Lost Ones, was originally scheduled to read at the En’owkin Centre as part of the Canada Council Reading Series.
There will be no reading for Jan. 27. The series returns on March 1, with Beth Cuthand, author of Voices in the Waterfall. Her short stories and poems have been published in magazines and anthologies and two volumes of her poetry appeared as separate monographs, Horse Dance to Emerald Mountain (1987) and Voices in the Waterfall (1989). The new revised version of Voices in the Waterfall was published in 2008 by Theytus Books.
