Rain doesn't dampen opening night of Rock The Peach in Penticton
Hail, rain and lightening didn't stop concert-goers from enjoying the first night of Rock The Peach in Penticton.
The crowd was filled with umbrellas and rain jackets earlier in the evening for opening act Malibu Knights, who were followed by The Steadies. By the time Victoria-based rockers Jets Overhead hit the stage the weather was starting to clear up and more people started filling King's Park in anticipation for the headliner.
When Collective Soul came on the crowd was primed and it didn't take much for frontman Ed Roland to win them over. Although, an energetic start and going through their catalogue of hits definitely helped. Roland also gave props to Penticton's natural beauty.
"Wine, Canadians, wine, Canadians — what could be better?" he asked the adoring crowd.
