Penticton man killed crossing an intersection

A 20-year-old Penticton man is dead after being struck by a vehicle while crossing an intersection.

RCMP said they responded to a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday at 9:50 p.m. at the intersection of Fairview Road and Channel Parkway after a north bound 2004 Pontiac Montana van driven by a 73-year-old Kaleden man struck a male who was crossing the road.

Sgt. Rick Dellebuur said the pedestrian was transported to Penticton Regional Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. Penticton RCMP are continuing their investigation into the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP at 250-770-4715.
