Penticton man stabbed at motel
A Penticton man bleeding from his abdomen crawled to a neighbour’s unit at Sun Valley Motel on Skaha Lake Road to report an assault on Tuesday.
At around 3 p.m. RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing at the motel, with a 44-year-old man transported to hospital where he underwent surgery.
“Penticton RCMP were advised of the name of the male suspect and a description of him. Patrols were made of the area and a report of a man lying on the ground near South Main Street was received,” said Sgt. Rick Dellebuur. “Patrols were made to this location and the man on the ground was identified as the suspect and arrested for aggravated assault.”
Peter Krewusik, 38, has been charged with aggravated assault and been remanded in custody.
RCMP said the victim is expected to recover from his injuries and that the two men were known to each other.
