South Okanagan election results
Unlike the shakeups in other parts of the province, it seems communities in the South Okanagan have chosen to hang on to their mayors.
Penticton's Mayor Dan Ashton will be returning as will Summerland Mayor Janice Perrino, who was unchallenged in her re-election bid.
And in Osoyoos Mayor Stu Wells garnered 1,262 votes, well ahead of Ray Vandenberg, who collected 310 votes. In Oliver, with 941 votes Ron Hovanes is back in the mayor's seat once more, ousting incumbent mayor Patrick Hampson, with 612 votes.
In Keremeos, longtime mayor Walter Despot, who chose not to run for re-election, will be replaced by Manfred Bauer who, with 399 votes, more than tripled Glenn Goguen's 125 votes.
