Penticton RCMP catch alleged Kelowna thief
At 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 17, Penticton RCMP located and arrested Lee Cull.
Cull was charged with several weapons-related offences.
On Feb. 10, Kelowna RCMP received a report that the 20-year-old Kelowna man was stealing things from a residence on the 3900 block of Gallaghers Parkway.
The report indicated that the man was known to the residents and that he was believed to be in possession of a handgun.
Police attended and were met by the man's girlfriend, an 18-year-old Kelowna woman. She was arrested on outstanding warrants but was able to delay police from catching Cull, who fled from the rear of the house on foot.
An extensive search was conducted, including the services of a police service dog and RCMP Air 3 helicopter, but the Cull wasn't located until yesterday.
Cull remains in police custody awaiting a court appearance.
