RCMP seeking info on robbery suspect
RCMP are looking for a woman after the 7-Eleven convenience store at the corner of Skaha Lake Road and Green Avenue West in Penticton was robbed.
Around 5:13 a.m. on Tuesday, an woman entered the Penticton store, demanded money and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. RCMP said the woman indicated that she was armed, but she did not produce any weapons and no one was hurt.
The robbery suspect is described as a Caucasian female who appeared to be between 16 and 25 years old, approximately five-foot-seven and of average build. The woman was wearing bluish grey jeans, an oversized navy blue winter jacket with grey sleeves, shoulders and upper torso. She also had on a purple toque and a light coloured scarf which she wrapped around her face. RCMP said these items were later recovered a short distance away after the female fled.
Penticton RCMP are seeking the public's help with identifying this unknown female. Anyone with any information regarding this robbery is asked to contact the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
