Bomb investigation continues
Police are continuing their investigation following a pipe bomb explosion in downtown Summerland on March 13.
“We are following any leads that are coming in,” said Sgt. Mona Kauffeld of the Summerland RCMP detachment.
The pipe bomb exploded on March 13 at 12:25 a.m. in a parking lot at the 13000 block of Victoria Road North, near the post office.
The homemade pipe bomb, placed in a Penticton Western News newspaper box, exploded, spreading debris over a 100-metre radius.
Witnesses saw two people, one wearing a white sweater, running from the area.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Summerland RCMP at 250-495-7416 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
