Witnesses to suspicious South Okanagan fire asked to provide info

A fire at a commercial property on the Osoyoos Indian Band is under investigation by RCMP.

On April 27 at 11:32 p.m. RCMP attended a property on Inkameep Road near Oliver to find three travel trailers and a camper van fully engulfed. The Oliver fire department was already on scene and had begun fire suppression protocols. All vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported.

According to RCMP the fire is currently under investigation because it is believed to be suspicious in nature.

Anyone with information on how the fire started are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS) or through www.southokanagancrimestoppers.ca for other anonymous methods of passing along information.

Should information lead to an arrest the tipster may qualify for a cash reward of up to $2,000. Crime Stoppers is not a police program and does not subscribe to call display. Tipsters do not have to testify in court.
