Penticton RCMP arrest woman in possession of date rape drug

Penticton RCMP arrested a woman with what they call a "significant quantity" of the date rape drug.

On Wednesday drug task force officers arrested a 30-year-old Abbotsford woman for drug trafficking on Eckhardt Avenue.

Cpl. Brad Mhyre said the woman was found to be in possession of cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and GHB, or what is commonly known as the date rape drug. The woman also had cash and trafficking paraphernalia.

The Abbotsford resident had no prior criminal record and was held for court on Sept. 27.
