Two arrested on drug charges in Penticton
Two men were arrested on Halloween night in Penticton for allegedly trafficking in cocaine and crystal methamphetamine.
RCMP Drug Task Force officers arrested a 33-year-old Penticton man in a vehicle on Lakeshore Drive. Cpl. Brad Myhre said the man had in his possession cocaine, MDMA tablets, MDMA powder and a substantial amount of cash. The man was held for court and subsequently release facing various drug trafficking charges.
A Red Deer, Alta. man that Myhre said has a lengthy prior criminal record was arrested in a walkway near the 1300 block of Main Street on Wednesday. The 28-year-old was found to be in possession of crystal meth, trafficking paraphernalia and a prohibited weapon. He also was held for court the next day facing various drug trafficking and weapons charges.
