Two hospitalized following crash near Penticton

Two people were taken to hospital following a head-on crash on Highway 97 south of Penticton Thursday morning.

Penticton RCMP report a southbound vehicle driven by an Okanagan Falls woman crossed the centreline and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by an Oliver man.

The jaws-of-life were needed to extract both drivers from the crash that occurred at about 7 a.m. in the area known as Waterman's Hill near Okanagan Falls.

Both drivers were taken to Penticton Regional Hospital with unknown injuries that weren't believed to be life-threatening. There were no other occupants in the vehicles.
