Two people have been arrested for allegedly being involved in a number of break-ins, mail thefts and other thefts in Keremeos and the surrounding area.

On Monday, Jan. 13 a man and woman from Keremeos were arrested when RCMP alleged to have seen them in the process of stealing licence plates from another vehicle.

Staff Sgt. Kurt Lozinski said RCMP have recommended multiple charges of theft against the 27 year old female and 31 year old male who both have extensive criminal records.

The female was released on several conditions while the male was remanded in custody with his next appearance in Penticton provincial court on Jan. 16.
