Macklemore and Ryan Lewis to headline Penticton musical festival

Seattle rap duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will headline the inaugural Boonstock music festival in Penticton, organizers announced Tuesday.

Other top-billed acts include City and Colour, Armin van Buuren and Rise Against, plus dozens of other electronic and dance acts for the four-day festival that begins July 31.

The lineup is being announced at a press conference this morning in Penticton. The event has been held the previous nine years in Alberta.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis won three Grammy Awards in January and are noted for hits like Can’t Hold Us, Thrift Shop and Same Love.
