Naramata is expected to be without power Sunday morning due to a planned outage.

FortisBC said it will shut off the community’s electricity from 5 to 9 a.m. in order to perform maintenance on its power lines. The company expects 1,100 customers to be affected.

People are reminded to protect electronics, such as TVs and computers, with surge protectors, conserve cell phone batteries, and learn how to use the manual release lever on garage doors with power openers.
