Road closures begin Sunday at 6 a.m. to accommodate several thousand cyclists who will be participating in this year’s Prospera Granfondo Axel Merckx Okanagan.

There are three distances, but the longest 160-kilometre ride begins in Gyro Park and heads north to Summerland along Highway 97 then back to Penticton and south along Eastside Road en route to Road 22 near Osoyoos.

At that point, riders head back north along Highway 97 then Fairview-White Lake Road before rejoining the highway and finishing at Gyro Park.

Drivers should expect delays along the route.

Much of Main Street in Penticton will be closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, with many shorter closures elsewhere. See below for the full list.
