A heavy equipment operator was hurt after the large machine he was using slid down an embankment on the construction site of the Skaha Hills development just south of Penticton Monday about 4:30 p.m. An official on the scene said the operator was able to free himself from the vehicle but was complaining of shoulder pain and was taken by ambulance to Penticton Regional Hospital.
