The new Cascades Casino in Penticton construction is well underway and is kicking off a recruitment drive to hire up to 150 employees.

To prepare for the grand opening this spring, Gateway is ready to begin the hiring process in Penticton. The first priority is to create a strong team to manage the new food and beverage offerings including Food and Beverage Manager, Match Manager, Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, Chef de Partie. Hospitality and gaming staff are also needed.

“The restaurants and gaming entertainment at Cascades are a very important part of the customer experiences we will create. The team we build is integral to delivering those memorable experiences. We are excited to grow our team and create more jobs and employment opportunities in our community,” said Mike Magnusson, general manager of Cascades Casino Penticton.

Cascades will host a large-scale job fair on Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Penticton Lakeside Resort’s ballroom. An afternoon session will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and an evening session from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. No pre-registration is required.

The team will operate the brand-new 45,000 sq. foot entertainment destination. The new Cascades Casino Penticton will feature a spectacular gaming floor with exciting entertainment and multiple dining and culinary options to suit any taste; including their signature restaurant – Match Eatery & Public House, which will feature the first rooftop patio and a full-service Buffet.

“Our goal is to create memorable experiences for our guests. To do that we need to grow our team. Cascades Casino has announced the hiring of its first new employee. Nathan L'Heureux has accepted the role of human resources generalist. He holds an HR Management Diploma from Palliser Campus of Saskatchewan Polytechnic and is currently working towards obtaining his professional certification (CPHR). L'Heureux will be responsible for the recruitment of close to 150 new employees that will join the existing 150 staff members to operate the new location.

“I am excited to be a part of such a strong team that will be instrumental in delivering the highest level of customer service to our guests,” said L'Heureux.
