Penticton crash kills motorcycle rider

The Penticton Fire Department has confirmed that a crash involving a motorcycle at Johnson Road and Upper Bench Road has ended in a fatality.

Details on the victim haven’t been made available.

The crash occurred Tuesday morning at around 10:30 a.m., and involved a truck and a motorcycle.

The man was transported to hospital at the time, but has apparently since died from his injuries.

The Penticton RCMP are on scene at a motor vehicle incident involving a motorcycle and a truck at Johnson Road and Upper Bench Road, which occurred around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A male has been transported to Penticton Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

According to Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth, the road will be closed for an unknown time of time while the accident is investigated. The RCMP traffic collision reconstructionist has been contacted and is attending.
