Thieves put in “a great deal of effort” to dig through the second floor above the Three Gables Liquor store overnight March 27.

Prying up the plywood on the unoccupied second floor, suspects jumped through the ceiling tiles into the liquor store underneath, police said.

Police said cigarette shelves were damaged and an investigation, but police have yet to confirm what was taken or the extent of the damage caused.

Cpl. Ted Manchulenko said the store appeared to be ransacked, and police were unsure at the time if video surveillance will be available.
