EllisDon construction and building services company has partnered with Canadian Blood Services to help ensure lifesaving blood products are available to hospital patients in need.

As part of their dedication to their community EllisDon has adopted the Penticton blood donor clinic that runs Feb. 22 to 24 and committed to recruit new donors and fill appointments to help collect 193 blood donations at the clinic.

“We want everyone to know that EllisDon is not just a builder, but is also made up of great people that help the community whenever possible,” said Cathy Nord, with EllisDon at the Penticton hospital site. “We have been involved with Canadian Blood Services for one year and have found it to be incredibly rewarding. The feeling you get from donating blood and helping to save a life is worth every minute. This year, 100,000 new blood donors are needed across Canada to meet patient needs. We invite Penticton residents to join us and make an appointment to donate blood.”

Appointments can be made at the Penticton Seniors Drop-In Centre located at 2965 South Main St or at blood.ca.

By adopting a clinic, organizations can make a difference in the lives of hospital patients. Choose a clinic date and recruit donors from within your organization, your networks, customers and community, and help give life to those in need. Canadian Blood Services will work with interested organizations to plan and support their involvement.
