Four stolen cars were recovered in as many days in three locations by South Okanagan RCMP in the last week.

That included two vehicles recovered from a Marron Valley Road residence occupied by several people known to police, where the Penticton RCMP’s targeted enforcement unit attended last Thursday.

A Honda motorbike was found on the property, stolen from Osoyoos on Aug. 14, and a 2016 Ford F-150 stolen from a Kaleden address on Aug. 9 was found on the property that same day.

Penticton’s forensic IDENT unit is investigating, and suspects have been identified.

Two more stolen vehicles were recovered in the South Okanagan in separate incidents on Sunday, including a 2016 blue Kia Soul recovered 21 kilometres up Ashnola Road near Keremeos with no apparent damage.

That vehicle was stolen from the Penticton Denny’s parking lot on Aug. 16, after two women sat down at a table in the restaurant uninvited.

The two women, both 20, are believed to have taken the vehicle owner’s keys as they left the table. They were identified by a person at the table and were clearly visible on video at the restaurant.

Just after noon on Sunday, police also attended an Okanagan Falls residence on Philpott Road, where a vehicle stolen from Summerland on Aug. 8 was spotted.

While police were on their way to recover the 2004 Toyota Matrix, two men appeared in a Dodge Caravan and removed some items from the Toyota, leaving before police arrived.

All incidents are currently under investigation.
