Fresh powder alert

Mountains from Oliver to Revelstoke are basking in all the fresh snow.

The ongoing snow is a pain in the a** to many of us in the Valley bottom, but the mountains are basking in the powder.

Big White Ski Resort near Kelowna reports 12 centimetres of fresh snow in the last 12 hours, adding to the 70 cm of champagne Okanagan powder in the last week.

The alpine snow base is now at 239 cm with a cumulative season snowfall of 662 cm.

Up at Silver Star Mountain Resort, employees are also doing a happy snow dance.

The mountain just outside of Vernon got 23 centimetres of fresh snow in the last 12 hours, adding to its week total of 47.5 cm.

The alpine snow base is now at 220 cm with a cumulative season snowfall of 524 cm.

Further north at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, the snow continues to fall. The hill has received 21 cm in the last 24 hours and 60 cm in the last week.

The alpine snow base is now at 264 cm with a whopping cumulative season snowfall of 982 cm.

Sun Peaks Resort outside of Kamloops didn’t miss out on the dump of snow either.

The mountain was hit with 11 cm of fresh powder in the last 12 hours, adding to the seven-day total of 73 centimetres. The alpine snow base is now at 224 cm.

Heading south, Apex Mountain Resort near Penticton is enjoying some fresh powder and sunshine, as seen in the video above.

The mountain got 10 centimetres of fresh snow in the last 12 hours, adding to its week total of 45 cm.

The alpine snow base is now at 202 cm with a cumulative season snowfall of 460 cm.

Nearby Baldy Mountain Resort in Oliver is also celebrating the heavy snowfall.

The mountain was hit with 10 cm of fresh powder in the last 24 hours, pushing the week-long total to 63 cm.

The alpine snow base is now at 187 cm with a cumulative season snowfall of 542 cm.
