It is what those walking through the Canadian Home Builders’ Association South Okanagan 22nd annual Home and Reno Show at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre will find this weekend.
“The exhibitors are the heart of the service sector, which represent 70 per cent of B.C.’s economy. This year the increase and quality of exhibitors is second to none,” said Anthony Deane, president of the CHBA South Okanagan.
Over 130 exhibitors will be onsite from the South Okanagan, Kelowna and Vancouver including home builders, land developers, trade contractors, product and material manufacturers, building product suppliers, lending institutions, insurance providers, service professionals and more.
“The greatest part about the home and reno show is the face-time with exhibitors,” said Carol Sudchak, executive officer, CHBA South Okanagan. “If you’re planning an upcoming renovation, remodel, or innovative additions to your home, March 4 and 5 is your opportunity to cement relationships with suppliers and providers. The Okanagan’s growth and construction boom is bringing new concepts and suppliers to this year’s show that we haven’t seen before.”
Show sponsor Guerard’s Fine Furniture will have a display that showcases a living room, dining room, bedroom and patio using a mix of furniture that is manufactured from B.C.
“We’re the only retailer in the South Okanagan that carries a diverse range of higher end, custom furniture and also provides professional decorating as a complementary service,” said assistant manager Trevor Guerard.
He said bundling the services means perspective clients reap the benefits of a team that is knowledgeable about the products they sell.
“We often work with clients for months before the toughest decisions are made and I think that’s a very strong testament to our low pressure, service oriented environment,” said Guerard.
As well, co-sponsors Parkers Chrysler Dodge Jeep and GLE Plumbing and Heating will have show spaces.
There will also be a Kid’s Fun Zone sponsored by Modu-loc and Par-T-Perfect on Saturday during show hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday during show hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission to the Home and Reno show is $4 which includes entry to win a $2,500 fine furniture package from Guerard’s.
