On April 19 Penticton police attempted to stop a prohibited driver on an unlicensed motorcycle.

The motorcycle took off at a high rate of speed towards Summerland after RCMP activated their lights and sirens. The male driver was later located at a gas station in Summerland where he was arrested.

Devon Forsyth, 28, was charged with posesssion of a prohibited weapon, failure to stop for police, obstructing a police officer, assaulting a police officer, possession of a controlled substance and faces four different charges for driving while prohibited.

Forsyth was remanded until April 26 where he is scheduled for a bail hearing in Penticton Provincial Court.
