Penticton’s new fire rescue boat saw some action Sunday afternoon.

Penticton and Naramata fire rescue were called into action on at about 2:30 p.m. for a reported jet ski in distress near Sunoka Beach on Okanagan Lake.

This was Penticton’s first call for their new marine rescue boat, that went into service on earlier this week. nothing was found. but while both departments

The call turned out to be a false alarm, with no jet skier found, but while both departments were searching Naramata marine rescue was able to help a boat that broke down around the lighthouse near sunoka beach.
