Traffic is moving slowly along the southern entrance to Penticton, on Highway 97, Wednesday afternoon after a motor vehicle incident.

All the vehicles involved in the crash were heading westbound when the incident occurred. RCMP said one vehicle was making an “illegal” left hand turn into Wright’s Beach Campground when the vehicle behind turned into the other lane to pass them. A motorbike trailing those two vehicles then hit the back of the vehicle that was turning.

Two people on the motorbike, a male and a female, were sent to hospital.

Southbound traffic on the Channel Parkway is being diverted on to Green Avenue.
