BC VOTES 2020: Free transit today

BC Transit, the city and RDOS encourage everyone to vote today in the B.C. provincial election

Transit is free today to encourage people to vote in the B.C. provincial election, Saturday, Oct. 24.

BC Transit and the City of Penticton have partnered to provide free public transit to encourage residents to get out and vote.

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is offering free public transit aboard the Naramata transit system on Saturday Oct. 24.

The regional district will waive fare collection to support transit users travelling to voting locations on election day.

Voting this year will be different due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and Elections BC wants to ensure that all eligible voters in the province have the information they need to vote.

Those wishing to cast their vote in-person can visit wheretovote.elections.bc.ca for voting locations.
