Saturday is the first day of the year for the Downtown Penticton Community Market, and a new section has been added.
All of the food vendors have been moved to Backstreet Boulevard, creating a food court area. Some of the new additions to that section is a Greek food vendor and a new pastry company.
The Downtown Community Market starts at 8:30 a.m. and runs from 2 p.m. in the 200 and 300 block of Main Street, Front Street and the new food court on Backstreet Boulevard. Organizers from the Downtown Penticton Association said the market will go on rain or shine
