Kael Svendson is facing 13 criminal charges that stem from an investigation of a break and enter in Osoyoos.

Sgt. Jason Bayda said on Nov. 25, 2017 RCMP responded to a residential break and enter on 2nd Avenue. The subsequent investigation led RCMP to a hotel room where a search warrant was conducted. Bayda said a large amount of stolen items were discovered and seized.

“Many of the items seized had been stolen over the preceding few days during other residential break and enters as well as thefts from vehicles. A firearm was also seized from the room,” said a press release from the RCMP.

Svendson, 21, appeared in Penticton court on Jan. 17. He is charged with eight counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, two counts of fraud under $5,000 and single counts of break and enter, possession of a firearm without a permit and unsafe storage of a firearm.
