Penticton fire crews responded to a car fire Tuesday afternoon at the landfill.
It isn’t clear what caused the fire, which was smouldering at around 2:45 p.m. just in front of the scales at the landfill.
There appeared to have been two people inside the older model station wagon when the fire sparked, but both had exited the vehicle safely.
