A Penticton woman is dead after a motor vehicle accident in Omak, Wash. on Sunday.

Lorna Murray, 55, was the passenger of a 2007 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic Model that failed to negotiate a curve to the left, just 12 miles west of Okanogan. Her husband Kenneth Murray, 47, was driving the motorcycle and was transported to Mid Valley Hospital with abrasions and contusions.

Washington State Patrol said the motorcycle lost control leaving the roadway to the right, striking a tree and coming to rest down a 25-foot embankment. No charges have been laid and the cause of the accident is still under investigation but drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor.
