It was a quick response by Oliver Fire Department on Thursday around 3 p.m. when they helped four tourists out of the river.
The two women in the group in a rubber or plastic dingy – were assisted out as the vessel which would not move back or forth after coming through the drop structure adjacent to Meadows Drive north of the main bridge and walking bridge.
The two males seemed to have got to the shore safely. No injuries were indicated.
