Two Okanagan Falls snowmobilers were found cold, wet and tired but otherwise unhurt by search and rescue crews just after 11 p.m. on March 15 after they failed to return home.

The pair, a 68-year-old man and his 33-year-old son, had been snowmobiling in the area of Allendale Lake Road near Okanagan Falls when their machines became bogged down in slushy snow conditions.

Search and rescue teams from Penticton and Oliver were activated, eventually finding the men about 11 kilometres from their snowmobiles while attempting to hike out.

They were attended to by search and rescue medics at the scene and transported back to their vehicles.
