The Penticton RCMP’s targeted enforcement unit arrested two males after a check of a vehicle in the Wal-Mart parking lot Aug. 24.
The pair were allegedly found in possession of firearms, one which had been stolen out of Kelowna, a stolen dirt bike and cocaine.
Sgt. Andrew Baylis said the pair are facing firearms charges, property offences and possession of a controlled substance.
He added it is not unusual for criminals to conduct their business in areas such as large parking lots.
“There’s lots of other people around so it’s not as noticeable,” said Baylis.
