The Osoyoos volunteer fire department was called to a structure fire at 9:55 p.m. on Wednesday night.
The fire was contained to the basement of the one-storey home located at Osprey Place and 62nd Avenue said Fire Chief Rick Jones.
Jones said no one was in the home at the time of the fire and it remains under investigation. He added the majority of the fire damage was contained to the basement with smoke damage throughout the home.
