Thousands attend the annual Festival of the Grape in Oliver

Plenty of fun and good times at the Festival of the Grape once again.

Comedian Rick Mercer was the man of the stomp at the annual Festival of the Grape in Oliver Sunday.

The Canadian Comedian best known for his television show The Mercer Report with film crew in tow teamed up with two members of the festival committee to shoot a segment for an upcoming show.

As usual thousands of people showed up for the event from different parts of Canada and around the world to have a little fun and sip some wine. The family-friendly event also included a large area for kids and plenty of musical entertainment throughout the afternoon.

But as usual it was the grape stomping competition with the competitors dressed in their Sunday-go-to-stomping outfits which was the hit of the event which has been going on now for over two decades and according to organizers just keeps getting bigger and better.
