If it isn’t a wild snow storm drivers are contending with on B.C. highways this season, it’s washed out roads and falling rocks.

Highway 3 is now clear following a washout near the junction with Highway 97 in Osoyoos this morning.

Towards the Lower Nicola on Highway 8 and Highway 5A motorists are reporting rocks falling on the road near the Dot Ranch cutoff road to Merritt and from Merritt to Stump Lake.

Watch for rocks on Highway 1 from Caigellachie to Revelstoke and falling ice from Revelstoke to the west boundary of Glacier National Park.

On Highway 97C, drivers are being cautioned due to slushy sections near Brenda Mine, where snow will begin falling this morning. Environment Canada is calling for five to 10 centimetres of snow on the Connector.

For the Coquihalla, expect wet snow near the summit, turning to rain in the afternoon and overnight.

In the South, Central and North Okanagan, Environment Canada is forecasting showers on and off throughout the day with temperatures steady around 7 C.

Rain is expected to continue tomorrow, with wind picking up in the south during Thursday afternoon.
