Passed away peacefully on June 16, 2016 having recently celebrated her 99th birthday. Alberta is survived by her loving family. Daughters: Alberta J. (Gary), Margaret, Catherine (Garth), Rita, Teresa and son: John (Sherry). Nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, sister-in-law Phyllis, nieces and nephews and many friends. Alberta was sadly predeceased by her beloved husband John, granddaughter Renée and her seven siblings. Alberta was born in 1917 in the Netherlands, married the love of her life (war bride), lived in Calgary and retired with Dad in Penticton. Alberta’s vibrant smile, positive attitude and caring flowed through her to touch and enrich the lives of all she came in contact with.
