ALVIN DORAN FRANCIS
1937 - 2016
Born on March 6, 1937, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family and friends, in Penticton on December 18. 2016
Alvin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anne Logie; children, Leanda, Norm and Darrell; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Mary; brother, John and oldest daughter, Carol Anne.
Alvin grew up in Summerland and moved to Naramata with Anne. He worked at Valley Ford (Skaha Ford) for 38 years. Al and Anne Raised their family in Naramata where Al was part of the volunteer fire department. Alvin loved going for afternoon drives around Naramata, sitting on his deck at the beach, playing cards and he had a great sense of humour. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be take place aturday, April 29, 2017 - 1:00 p.m. at Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton
