Arthur Raymond Gladish
Art passed away on October 30, 2017 at the age of 93. He was born in Jura, B.C. (a Kettle valley Railway stop north of Princeton), and was the ninth child in a family of 12.
Art worked in the gold mine at Hedley, and was a proud Air Force Veteran and an electrician. He resided in the Okanagan/Similkameen for over 60 years, where he was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Rose, in 1999, and his grandson, Scott, in 1987.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 17 years, Lee; 3 sisters, Mary, Dee and Gwen; 3 sons, Ron (Karen), Cy (Babs), Tim (Bonnie); 6 grandchildren, Trevor (Anna), Cory (Len), Troy, Clayton, Connor (Jessica), Dalton (Krislon); great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Art will also be fondly remembered by the numerous members of his extended and blended family that he so embraced, as well as his many friends.
A celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on November 19, 2017 at the Penticton Seniors Drop-In Center 2965 South Main Street, Penticton.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Diabetes Canada, the Shriner's Hospitals, or the Royal Canadian Legion OK Falls Branch.
