Burnie passed away peacefully on May 5, 2016 after a hard fought struggle with many health challenges. Burnie is survived and will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Louise, his daughter Corinna (Mike), his son Jeremy and his grandsons Derek & Trevor, as well as many family and friends. Burnie was a pressman for the Vancouver Sun & Province for over 24 years. He loved to read and was a wealth of knowledge. He will be remembered for his kindness, strength and courage. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 10:30am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 1296 Main Street, Penticton, BC. Reception to follow in the church hall, followed by Interment at Penticton Cemetery at 2pm. Burnie always wanted to learn to fly, he now has his wings.
