TYMM, CARL

June 26, 1931 ~ March 18, 2015

Do Good, Be Good, and Have Fun Doing It.

After a brief but courageous battle with cancer, Carl passed away with his children by his side at Moog and Friends Hospice House. He is survived by his children David Tymm, Beverly Waddy and Elaine Edmond (John Benson), sister Adele (Ron) Johnson, grandchildren Travis, Amy, Blair, Gordon, Justin and Tom, 10 great grandchildren. Carl was predeceased by his brother Stan. Carl was a caring and community minded man. He was a member of the Penticton Rotary Club since 1971, becoming club president in 1977 and District Governor in 1989. He was an active member of Penticton 147 (Freemasons) and a long-time member of Shrine. When he was first admitted to hospital he was placed in Pediatrics and all he was worried about was “Did the kids all get their Teddy Bears?” His other hobby included the Ham Radio Club and his trips to Yuma. ?He was a man of good humour, enthusiasm and willingness to help. Carl will be deeply missed by those whose lives he had touched. Services will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 1:30 pm at Penticton Masonic Centre, 416 Westminster Avenue West, Penticton, BC. Memorial tributes can be made to the Charity of your choice; Carl’s favorites were Rotary Foundation and the Shriner Bus which takes children from most areas of the province to the various Shriner Hospitals ?at no costs to the families.
