Sadly Ernst passed away at Penticton Regional Hospital after a long illness. He was predeceased by his wife Gerda in 2010 and is survived by his daughter, Ingrid Müller of Germany; his son, Jens of Montreal; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Ernst was born in Giessen, Germany and emigrated to Canada in 1955. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and telling entertaining stories of his life. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Lakeview Cemetery Columbarium in Penticton, Tuesday, March 28 – 1:00 p.m.
