WAKE(nee Lindquist)Esther
October 24, 1912 – March 14, 2015
Born in Brownlee, Sakatchewan; passed away peacefully at Westview Extended Care in Penticton. She is survived by daughter, Marlene (Scott) Williams; 3 grandchildren, Robert (Kathleen) Ruston of Florida, Brenda (Paul) McIntosh of Parksville and Lee (Kristina) Ruston of Kelowna; 9 great grandchildren, Joshua, Kyra, Tess and Jacob of Florida; Nickolas and Robert of Parksville, Ryan and Alex of Fort Nelson, Kamden of Kelowna and many more extended families. Esther was predeceased by husband, Fred of 71 years in 2003; 3 sisters, Alice, Bernice and Agnes; 1 brother, Clarence and one grandson, Wayne. Esther had a busy life and always had to be busy doing sewing, beading or knitting even right up to a week before passing. A Celebration of her Life will be held in Cranbrook in early August. Special thanks to staff at Westview North and Dr. Mike Surkan for his compassionate care. Interment will take place in Cranbrook Cemetery.
