Frances Rose Hamilton Palmer

December 3, 2016

Palmer

Frances Rose Hamilton

Frances completed her earthly “audition” and was accepted into heaven’s choir on December 3, 2016 after 92 years on earth. She will be greatly missed by Cyril Palmer, her husband and true love for the last 7 decades. She also leaves behind three sons: Milford (Diane) of Winnipeg, MB, Philip (Edith) of Stony Plain, AB, and Allen (Holly) of Edmonton AB, as well six grandchildren: Sharilyn Alan, Kevin Palmer, Jeremy Palmer, Jocelyn Palmer, Dayna Palmer, and Kyle Palmer. Of her generation, she is survived only by her sister-in-law, Margaret Hazelton of Zephyrhills, Florida. She leaves her nieces and nephews also to remember her. She was preceded by her parents, Howard B. Hamilton and Isabelle Cook Hamilton, as well as her older brother, Howard B. Hamilton II, and younger sister, Mary Esther St. Clair. Mom will be remembered for her love of God and of family. Each memory of her ties in to her devotion to her Saviour. No one will remember Mom as “religious”. Her quick wit spoiled that, but all who spent time with her knew that she loved Jesus. She was always ready to talk about family. She loved her boys and the girls they chose for her. Her grandchildren were all exceptional. If only we could all live up to her perceptions. No prouder Mother, Grandmother, Sister-In-Law, or Aunt exists. She followed the accomplishments and tribulations of her family and friends and all of us know that her prayers contributed to our lives. Her legacy and memory lives on in each of us. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10th, 2016 at 1:30 pm at the Penticton Church of the Nazarene, 523 Jermyn Avenue. Burial will take place at a later date in Skowhegan Maine.
