SCHMIDT, JOHN BRUNO
In loving memory of John Bruno Schmidt, born June 26, 1932 in Dusseldorf, Germany. John passed away peacefully on March 15, 2017 surrounded by his children and family.
John came to Canada in July of 1957, he was 25 years old. He met the love of his life 6 years later, they were married 49 years, 53 years together. He joins her in their heavenly home.
John was an exceptional man, his words were wise, and he was a kind and true, gentle man, who will be greatly missed. John enjoyed his time at the German Club in Kelowna and also at the Heidelberg Club in Penticton, playing his favourite card game.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Everden Rust Funeral Chapel, 1130 Carmi Avenue, in Penticton on Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 at 2 p.m. Condolences may be shared by visiting www.everdenrust.com
